Baby and Mother Care Products such as nursing bottles, nipples, pacifiers, breast pumps etcetera are essential child rearing requisites. Nearly 80% of the global population lives in developing economies and rapid urbanization in these regions has led to an increased per capita expenditure on baby and mother care merchandises. According to the World Health Organization, global population reached the 7.4 billion mark in 2016 and Asia Pacific constitutes of approximately 60 per cent of this population.
The increase in the participation of women in the work force coupled with changing lifestyle of consumers in developed countries have led to commercialization of innovative new products.
Among the regions, Americas remains the largest market in terms of revenue, while APAC region is expected to be the fastest growing region, owing to the high fertility and birth rate in this region.
